(Light Emitting Diode or LED) lights are self-contained or remote light heads that draw extremely low amperage due to the nature of their construction. Because you can buy them self-contained, there is no need for a power supply which not only saves money, but also saves installation time and the need for cables. You also have the option of hooking a self-contained light up to a remote source such as a brake or directional light. They are extremely bright and because the bulbs do not heat up they last a very long time. The lights also carry a 5 to 10 year warranty versus the standard 1 or 2 year warranty of a strobe head. Strobes can also be self-contained or remote, but differ from LED's in that they draw anywhere from 10-20 amps versus the milliamps drawn by LED's. Strobes run a lot hotter and are more prone to burning out with constant use. If your are looking at a windshield or deck mounted self-contained light and are wondering whether to go strobe or LED, ask yourself a few questions. How often will I use it? If you use the light very often you may want to go LED because they run cooler and the bulbs last quite a bit longer, not to mention they draw less from your battery if the vehicle is off. Is price a consideration? If you are looking at a blue light you should know that blue LED's are a bit more expensive than amber or red because they contain sapphire. While amber or red LED lights are close in price to strobes.

Equipment purchased from Allmaxx can only be returned directly to Allmaxx for a full warranty provided that such equipment is in either new unused condition or said equipment was previously installed by an AllMaxx professional technician. Any tampering with said equipment or Allmaxx professional wiring system will void your full warranty. Equipment sold by Allmaxx but installed by end user and or purchaser, must be sent directly to the equipment manufacturer for warranty by the end user and or purchaser.
